Robert Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve - From Huckleberry Path

Huckleberry Path and Sibley Regional Preserve are connected through Bay Area Ridge Trail. It's all inclined from Huckleberry Path.

Weird looking tree...

Dry creek bed...

And the incline starts...

  1. Hi, I am planning to hike Sibley and then walk to Huckleberry via Bay Area Ridge Trail but I have read in D. Weintraub's book "East Bay Trails" that as some point, on the BART, you find yourself on a single track with sharp drop offs on both sides.. I find it hard to believe and would like to ask you to please confirm as you have been there. Thank you very much, Sarah.

  2. The trail that connects Sibley to Huckleberry drops significantly, so going back is challenging. There's no drop off on both side but the trail is winding and the change of elevation is significant.
