Red Lotus Flower Sculpture by Choi Jeong Hwa.

The sculpture is in front of the Civic Center as part of "Phantoms of Asia: Contemporary Awakens the Past"...

It is actually a giant inflatable flower. It is really beautiful.

I have been in the Bay Area for more than 10 years now and I have never been in the Civic Center area.I went there last July 14 and was surprise to see a lot of beautiful statues, structures and art fixtures.
